About
Amelie G Magazine gets its name from the Parisian Socialite Amelie Gautreau. She was the subject and model for the masterpiece “Madame X”, made by the famous portrait painter John Singer Sargent. She was born in New Orleans from an established Creole family and moved to Paris to become a fashion icon among French society during the Belle Epoque era.
Amelie G Magazine strives to highlight the beauty and intuitiveness of style and taste. We focus on featuring emerging artists and designers from the New Orleans area and beyond.
Amelie G Magazine started out in 2009 as an online fashion magazine. The Premiere Print Issue was launched in the fall of 2010. The webzine continues to be updated monthly with articles, features and fashion spreads while the print issues will be a quarterly publication distributed throughout the New Orleans area.
If you are an artist, designer, photographer, model or interested in contributing to Amelie G magazine in any way, please e-mail marynell@ameliegmag.com with Submission in the subject line.
